Under the full moon, the girls' powers are enhanced and wreak havoc on Lewis in his boat, and the next day the girls realize they still need Lewis. Lewis and the girls make a potion supposed to allow the girls to grant wishes. Meanwhile Charlotte thinks Cleo is trying to break her and Lewis apart. Max follows Lewis and Cleo to Mako Island, splashes some water on Cleo, and discovers that she is a mermaid as well. Cleo decides to restart her friendship with Lewis and embrace her abilities, while Emma is shocked with the new supervisor who has big changes planned.

The girls organise another wedding ceremony for Don and Sam on Mako Island, and Kim at last warms to Sam.

By harvesting the magnetic crystals, Zane, Sophie and Ryan have severely damaged the Moon Pool, and the girls find that it no longer has enough power to push the incoming comet away from the Earth. When he buys it, Nate ends up wearing it and Emma, Cleo and Rikki all fall for him. Cleo breaks up with Lewis for being too clingy and protective after which he dates Charlotte. But she decides to let him go after all, and they part promising to see each other again. But while Cleo is willing to accept her for her father's sake, Kim hates her from the start, but uses the situation to get expensive gifts out of her father as bribes for her approval, much to Cleo's disgust. A rare full moon with the power to strip away the girls' powers permanently is approaching. But she lies to Emma and Cleo, which causes danger when Rikki is knocked out. The mischievous, moonstruck Cleo then forces Rikki to see the full moon, and the two of them plot to get Emma wet, so that Ash can see her in mermaid form. Zane's back in town and still in love with Rikki, and works out she's still a mermaid and tries to win her back; Cleo becomes suspicious of Lewis. However, Lewis shows up, preventing Ash from seeing Emma as a mermaid.

The third series begins with Cleo and Rikki dealing with the loss of Emma who is travelling the world with her family. Irritated, Sophie tells Bella to stay away from Will, as she sees her as a distraction for him, but Bella doesn't listen. Elliot has a crush on Kim and she agrees to go on a date with him to the marine park.

Charlotte takes control and drives Rikki away from the party. By leaving the front door open, he doesn't realise the chaos he is about to cause, when Cleo accidentally looks up at the moon. Meanwhile, Bella applies for a job at the cafe, and Rikki is keen to give it to her... except Zane wants to give the job to Will's ambitious sister, Sophie. Release year: 2006. In trying to compete with Rikki, Emma tries to rebel and throws a party; Nate uses Lewis to make a play for Cleo. Edit. But Sam and Don get the wrong idea when Cleo refuses to go swimming with Sam, and think that Cleo is the one who has a problem with her. Cleo starts to struggle at school and gets help from the new tutor.

Zane has bought motorbikes to earn rent from clients, but also organizes a rugged range race, offering $1,000, confident to win himself. Meanwhile, Lewis gets the chance to spend three years working at a scientific research centre in America, but frets about telling Cleo... until Kim tells her for him. 3 Sterne. Lewis meanwhile is having trouble trying to keep their relationship together. Rikki and Zane start dating again after breaking up during the series one finale. Will Lewis reveal the girls' secret to him in order to complete the puzzle?

Don and Sam's big day is then completely ruined when Kim turns on the sprinklers (nearly making Cleo, Rikki and Bella grow tails in front of everyone). Cleo plans a party at the moon pool to celebrate the one year anniversary of the girls becoming mermaids, but when Zane and Ash have an argument at the juice bar, Rikki and Emma take sides against each other and forget about the party. Will's ruthless sister, Sophie, is training him to be a professional free-diver, only he'd rather spend time swimming with Bella.

The following morning, Lewis retrieves the locket from Charlotte, Emma shows her secret to Ash, and the season closes with the girls running into the ocean while their boyfriends look on.

Everyone is shocked when Cleo is fired at the Ice Cream Stand, and even more so when Lewis takes her place. The girls prepare for the full moon again and insist they don't need Lewis' help.
