A little while later, Jenny broke in to Renee's house. Renee ruffles the other housewives' feathers with her aggressive behavior but eventually develops close friendships with her neighbors. Susan says that this is crazy, and Julie explains to her that this is good, because there is no other woman and no other child. Susan builds up the courage to knock, and Jennie opens the door for them. Susan recalls that he would tell her he had softball.

Susan can't help wondering why he hid this from her, asking herself if he thought she wasn't the kind of person that would accept Laura. Jennie tells her the cheques were for Laura. Gabrielle disagrees with their parenting technique, but Lee gives her doubts to letting her child do whatever she want.

She had no stable parents or family for a long period of her life until After Bob and Lee pick her up from the airport, they take her to meet Renee first out of everyone on the Lane. Bob Hunter is the husband on Lee McDermott, who, after many years of living in Chicago, moved to the suburbs for the quiet life. Lee then asks Renee if she'd act like a mother figure for Jenny, which she says she would. Gabrielle visits the house and points out that Jenny has been practicing a lot.

After Bob and Lee pick her up from the airport, they take her to meet Renee first out of everyone on the Lane. After Mike Delfino passes away, his widow, Susan, and her friend Lee McDermott, discover a box of his, amongst his belongings, that contains a checkbook with checks he'd written for Jennie Hernandez, along with drawings seemingly made by a child. And if the residents of Wisteria Lane ever need a lawyer, Bob is the first one they call.
